DIN 77210-1 defines quality requirements and performance characteristics for the preparation, contract design and execution of cash and valuables services, taking into account organisational, structural, technical and personnel requirements, in addition to applicable legal requirements.

The following minimum requirements are defined for the demand for and provision of services

• Transfer facilities, transport routes and vending machine locations and

• Overarching activities,
• Transport of money and valuables,
• Money and value processing,
• Vending machine service,
• Automatic service - intervention,
   

The VdS certification procedure covers all cash and valuables services listed in DIN 77210-1. As part of the certification process, VdS checks the cash and valuables services offered by the cash and valuables service provider in accordance with DIN 77210-1 for conformity with the standard. DIN 77210-2:2018-07 provides the test basis for this.

Certification in accordance with DIN 77210-1 enables the cash and valuables service provider to prove that it is able to offer, design and provide cash and valuables services in accordance with DIN 77200 in a technically qualified manner and in compliance with the requirements of the standard.
