VdS-Training Center

Concepts for corporate security can only be effective if the people involved have the necessary knowledge. This applies both to a company’s own employees and to service providers in the field of safety and security. Regular training is therefore crucial.

One of the primary objectives of VdS is to bundle and pass on knowledge, and thus to set lasting standards. A broad range of information and training offers is available to you at the VdS Training Centre on topics from the fields of fire prevention and protection, safety and security, cybersecurity/information security, electrical systems, work safety and natural hazards.

The VdS Training Center offers:

  • More than 320 appointments per year in Cologne and at further locations
  • Over 160 different courses, workshops and online seminars, lasting one day to two weeks
  • More than 25 expert conferences per year on the key VdS topics
  • Certified quality management acc. to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 for seminars and conferences
  • Selected seminars in cooperation with the German Fire Protection Association (vfdb) and recognized by the Confederation of Fire Protection Associations Europe (CFPA- Europe)

Conferences

At our one- to two-day expert conferences, interesting speakers with a wealth of practical experience report on specific topics of current interest. They provide information for example on new technical developments and modified regulations, along with stimulating examples from practical operations. The VdS expert conferences thus give you the perfect opportunity to gain an overview of a particular topic, bring your knowledge up to date and engage in intensive dialogue with other participants.

Seminars

At the VdS seminars, you can learn from experienced lecturers from practical fields who will be pleased to pass their knowledge on to you. Since the seminars are usually held in small groups, there is ample opportunity for questions and discussions. Depending on the topic and the depth of content, the seminars can last from one day to two weeks.

Company/in-house seminars are a highly efficient way of providing vocational training: employees can learn very effectively together with their own colleagues, and specific questions from your own company can be optimally integrated. You have a free choice of topics: all courses from our program can also be booked as company seminars.

Would you like to learn independently of location? The VdS online seminars, which take the form of interactive web training at fixed times, are then ideally suited to your needs.

Our web-based training (WBT) programmes enable you to learn independently of time and location, as you can carry out these online tutorial programs at any time.
