Cologne, Germany; November 2nd, 2023. The increasing complexity of fire detection and alarm systems results in ever higher effort and liability risks for planners and installers. VdS now offers comprehensive back-up for service providers around those important systems with an international new edition of the renowned “Guidelines for automatic fire detection and fire alarm systems, Planning and Installation”.
For many years, the now updated publication bases on the corresponding German DIN standards, but goes far beyond them in terms of scope and depth of detail. “We are glad to offer this important back-up to service professionals on all continents with highly practical solutions for safe planning, projecting and installing”, states Gunnar Bellingen, head of the VdS Certification Body for fire protection systems. “Our compact Guidelines VdS 2095 are not only regarded as crucial for reliability at all times, but at the same time also stand for clear simplification. This makes optimal safety easy”, adds Claas Baier, division manager of the Technical Inspection Services at VdS.
