Press release 23/2025
Cologne, 14 October 2025. With this certification, VdS confirms the high level of security and reliable availability of the alarm receiving centers operated by NVD Beveilingsgroep and Devision Meldkamer BV. Both companies therefore meet the highest requirements for operational safety, structural and technical equipment, and organizational processes in order to professionally receive, evaluate, and process alarms around the clock.
EN 50518 and VdS 3534: Test standards for modern control centers
The DIN EN 50518 Category I standard ensures that all relevant European standards for security control centers are complied with. With regard to the cloud-based alarm management system (AMS) used, this also includes the VdS 3534 guidelines. These guidelines specify the necessary requirements for software-based hazard management systems (HMS) and thus form the basis for testing and recognizing their compliance with standards.
Interdisciplinary expertise for future-oriented security
“We warmly congratulate NVD and Devision on the VdS certification of their alarm receiving centers as proof of the highest security standards,” said Sebastian Brose, Head of Security & Geo at VdS. “With our interdisciplinary approval process, we are setting a clear impetus for future-proof security solutions in the interests of our customers.”
“VdS was an all-round professional partner on the path to certification of our control center. The process was extremely fast and uncomplicated — not least because we were already using a VdS-approved product in the form of the cloud-based AMS from sitasys,” adds Bram Vandenbergen, Unit Manager Alarm and Service Center at NVD.
VdS is accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) for the certification of alarm receiving centers in accordance with DIN EN 50518. With decades of experience in the security industry, VdS reliably supports companies in Germany and abroad on their path to certification – with a forward-looking approach and based on comprehensive expertise.
