Voice alarm systems (VAS) are becoming increasingly important, as they can also guide people who are unfamiliar with the area - e.g. in shopping malls and department stores - to safety by making targeted announcements after a fire has been detected. In all affected areas, SAA enable various automatic messages as well as situation-dependent live announcements by security officers or the fire department.

This means that voice alarm systems that are controlled by a fire alarm system belong to the alarm systems of hazard detection technology. They are therefore part of the technical systems and equipment in accordance with building regulations.
