Cologne, June 04th, 2025. On December 3 and 4, 2025, it's time again: VdS-FireSafety Cologne will bring interested parties from Germany and abroad to Cologne to discover, discuss and exchange the latest trends and insights. In a unique way, they combine a large international trade fair, practice-oriented themed forums and the VdS-FireSafetyTalk on the trade fair stage as well as separately bookable expert conferences.
The event is one of the largest industry gatherings for preventive structural and organizational fire protection and fire protection systems in Europe – with constantly growing visitor numbers. Last year, a new record was set: over 4,600 trade visitors from a total of 20 countries came to Koelnmesse to experience the varied program.
Lively interest from exhibitors
Exhibitor interest is high again this year: the entire exhibition space from last year has already been booked. However, an expansion of the area will create new presentation opportunities for companies from the field of preventive fire protection – registrations are still possible.
Special area for structural fire protection – innovations you can touch
A highlight this year is the new special area “Structural fire protection” with around 150 m². The area will feature impressive live demonstrations designed to showcase applications and products related to structural fire safety. Accompanying this special area is a dedicated themed forum, offering presentations and discussions on the topic to provide in-depth insights.
The established expert conferences “Structural Fire Protection (Baulicher Brandschutz)” (03.12.2025) and “Construction and Fire Protection in Northrhine-Westphalia (Bauen und Brandschutz in NRW)" (04.12.2025) will take place at the same time – with around 300 participants each year. Ample breaks will allow participants to visit the trade fair and the special areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for companies from the structural fire protection sector to address target groups with a high level of specialist interest directly and to present their solutions to a wide audience.
Back again: Special sprinkler area with live demonstrations
The popular special area on sprinkler systems is also part of the trade fair concept again. Among other things, it will once again include live demonstrations for visitors to take part in and try out. In addition, the VdS laboratory will use a sprinkler testing device to demonstrate how sprinkler heads from old systems are tested for functionality.
Attractive program in forums and expert conferences
Of course, the program on the trade fair stage, consisting of the
Future Forum Fire Protection, Exhibitor Forum and
VdS-FireSafetyTalk, as well as the popular VdS expert conferences in the adjoining halls should not be missed.
As every second year, the traditional expert conference "Fire Extinguishing Systems" will take place over two days, with international topics and simultaneous German/English translation.

Young target groups in view: guided tours of the trade fair
Visitors can gain a good overview of interesting innovations on guided tours of the trade fair. Students from Furtwangen University will once again be developing a concept for the tours, including special tours for schools. The idea is to get young target groups interested in the topic of fire protection and its diverse job profiles. The offer has been very well received for years, especially by vocational school students.
