Cologne, 12 November 2025. Saving time and money, minimizing downtime: digital remote access facilitates immediate response, particularly important for security technologies. Yet, it also opens up additional and often very dangerous gateways for criminals, viruses, malware and much more. That is why VdS now protects users, service providers and manufacturers with practical support on this subject.

The Guidelines VdS 6041 for remote access infrastructures are available for free download at www.vds-shop.de/en. In addition to compact product specifications, they also offer sharp processes against organizational attacks – e.g. a fake call before a break-in with the user's number correctly displayed and a request to switch off a "defective" detector. As always with VdS-Approval for manufacturers and installers, the relevant standards, in this case EN 50710 and CLC/TC 50136-10, are fully complied with.
