The fine spray fire extinguishing system type 'EconAqua' may be used only for the protection of the risks/areas specified below according to VdS CEA 4001.
Maximum allowable ceiling height depending on fine spray and the field of application
- Office- / Hotel areas: 2,8 m to 5 m ceiling height
- False ceilings and false floors: 0,3 m to 0,8 m
- Parking garages: 2,7 m ceiling height
OH1 hazards without size restrictions:
- Office areas: Offices, banks, conference rooms, schools, universities, churches, prison- and reformatory institutions, restaurants as well as similar OH1 hazards.
(kitchen areas only if it is verified by additional spray tests that the water cannot hit the oil and sufficient protection is granted), stations and counter areas (sales areas, shopping malls, storages etc. are not included.
- Hotel areas: Hotels, hospitals, foster homes, old people¿s homes, residential homes for the elderly and residential apartments
- False ceilings and false floors with a height of 300 mm to 800 mm
(Raw ceilings/raised floors including mounting not flammable, cables with a layout density < 40% of the base area and a fire load > 12,6 MJ/m²)
Size limitation = 50 m² as protection of buildings, fire-resistant separated (protection of content and facility is not included):
Store rooms (no storage of flammable liquids, gases etc., synthetics to a limited extent) computer rooms, technics rooms, libraries, file rooms, archives and similar.
OH2-parking garages
Protection of non-automatic, all side enclosed parking garages and basement garages (OH2).
Annex 3 of the VdS-Approval and the installation manual of the manufacturer have to be observed.
